Here is some of what you’ll do…
POSITION SUMMARY Under the general direction of the Pacific Region Parts Manager, the Warehouse/Utility Person fills parts orders, stocks incoming parts, makes hydraulic hose assemblies, and supports facility related projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Prepares orders by procesing requests and supply orders; pulling materials, packing boxes, and placing orders in delivery.
- Receives and ships items by unloading and loading containers; fills parts orders and stocks incoming orders.
- Completes deliveries of product or material to destination by identifying destination, selecting route, and driving the vehicle.
- Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing requests, and conducting inventories.
- Creates hydraulic hose assemblies by dissembling and assembling reuseable fittings onto hydraulic hoses.
- Assembles permanent fittings onto hydraulic hoses.
- Ensures crimped fittings are checked within specifications.
- Idetifies foreign fittings and crosses them over to Caterpillar fittings.
- Converts non-Caterpillar hose assemblies to Caterpillar hydraulic hoses.
- Invoices hose customers for fittings and hoses made, including proper labor.
- Maintains quality service by following organization.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat.
- Assists in safeguarding warehouse contents by monitoring security procedures.
- Completes reports by entering required information into the computer.
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.
- Contributes to a team effort by accomplishing related results.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by keeping facility, grounds, and vehicles neat. Maintains clean shop floors, complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintains areas of responsibility by completing routine maintenance and inventory.
- Stocks and inventories shops and office supplies.
- Serves as a backup to the tool room attendant and assumes the role and responsibilities of the position when required.
- Maintains facility to meet EHS and contamination control standards.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid Drivers License with a good driving record.
- Must have PC skills.
- Must be able to make hydraulic hose assemblies.
- Must be forklift certified or have the ability to complete certification within 90 days of employment.
- Must have good communication skills and proper business etiquette.
- Must have the ability to multi-task and complete assignments.
- Walking Moves about on foot, often through uneven terrain.
- Handling Seizes, helps, or works with hands.
- Lifting Raises or lowers miscellaneous equipment parts and tools.
- Reaching Extends hands and arms in any direction.
- Stooping Bends body downward and forward by bending at knees or waist.
- Standing Remains in standing position if required to perform various functions of the job.
- Climbing In and out of equipment.
- Raising/Lowering Goes up and down in forklifts.
- Vision Reads work tickets and parts books.
- Talking Communicates by radio, phone, and in person.
- Sitting Sits in equipment and vehicles for extended periods.
- Lifting Lifts up to 60lbs. daily, frequent exertion.
- Noise Works in conditions with constant or intermittent noise.
- Temp/Weather Works in an office and outdoor environment, with variations of temperature and weather.
- Exposure Subject to foul odors, fumes, and harsh substances.
