Hawthorne Lane is Hiring a HR Coordinator (Temporary-to-Hire Opportunity) Near Washington, DC

This non-profit with healthcare ties is seeking an HR Coordinator to provide administration of human resources tasks such as sourcing, interviewing and follow-up for internal hiring efforts, new hire onboarding tasks and completion of documentation, internal staff movement changes/tracking and offboarding, employee surveying and cultural engagement/event planning. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, an excellent communicator and team player, has an interest in human resources and enjoys wearing many hats.

About the Job:

  • Assist with the hiring process by posting job ads, screening resumes, identifying talent, initiating communication with candidates, scheduling interviews, following-up with referrals, and conducting background checks.
  • Upload new hire forms and manage files in software system.
  • Spearhead and manage the onboarding, offboarding and training program for employees.
  • Collaborate within the Human Resources team to further internal deliverables.
  • Provide departmental support across the firm as a trusted liaison with vendors, suppliers and external contacts.
  • Plan and manage memorable employee appreciation events and gifts to encourage staff engagement; coordinate meetings, in-office catering, and office events as needed.
  • Communicate effectively across departments, and internal and external staff with updates to processes, deadlines and procedures.
  • Handle any incoming HR inquiries from internal staff.
