Hawthorne Residential Partners is Hiring a Construction Project Manager Near Charlotte, NC

 CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER - MULTIFAMILY RENOVATIONS

Hawthorne Residential Partners is a privately held, North Carolina based apartment investment and management company with over 200 apartment communities (50,000 units) located throughout the Southeast and Texas.

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:

This role is responsible for the management and supervision of multifamily renovation projects, including exterior, interior unit, common area, and site work renovations. The Project Manager will collaborate with Hawthorne’s Investment and Operations Teams and will provide construction project leadership, planning, coordination, safety compliance and construction oversight.

LOCATION: This position will be located in Hawthorne’s Charlotte office.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee project team
  • Oversee all construction projects to ensure they are high quality, on schedule and within budget.
  • Review and approve scopes of work for project components
  • Evaluate and qualify bids
  • Review and award contracts/purchase orders
  • Monitor the project schedule
  • Proactively identify and isolate matters of risk and expediently solve problems; Resolve RFIs and RFCOs promptly
  • Continually identify ways to refine and enhance the workflow process.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred
  • OSHA certification
  • 7 years relevant experience in Multifamily Construction
  • Travel: considerable local and non-local travel may be required
  • Self-starter, detail oriented, good written/verbal communication and listening skills, excellent leadership, team player.
  • Excel, Work, Outlook and Construction Management Software
