Join one of the Best Companies to Work for in Oregon, Washington and Idaho!How You Will Contribute:The Senior Accountant is responsible for working collaboratively across all departments of the company to ensure the timely and accurate issuance of all financial reporting. The Senior Accountant also leads, trains, coaches and guides assigned direct reports.
Responsibilities Include:
- Leadership – coaching and training direct reports, providing feedback, fostering their growth, and upholding the company's culture and values.
- Financial Accounting – preparing monthly regional and consolidated financial statements with detailed analysis, presenting them to regional directors and managers, and conducting ad hoc analysis and updates based on leadership feedback.
- Monthly Reconciliations – preparing and analyzing monthly inventory and financial account reconciliations, entering journal entries, reviewing junior staff work, completing month-end tasks, managing entity ledgers, and mentoring junior staff.
- Annual and Quarterly Duties – collaborates on budgeting, assists with audits and tax prep, and manages quarterly rebate reports and allocations.
What You Can Offer:

- High School diploma or GED required
- Accounting degree in Accounting
- Specialized knowledge
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
- Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written, to various audiences.
- Ability to creatively solve problems and work under time constraints with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work with team members to produce quality work within tight timeframes while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Exceptional organizational abilities and strong attention to detail.
- Professional Certification
- CPA license (active or expired) is preferred.
- Experience
- Minimum of four years of progressive, relevant accounting experience required.
- Experience in construction accounting is strongly desired.
