We are seeking a Construction Project Manager for our industrial contracting sector. This role is the backbone of our project operations, acting as an organizer, planner, scheduler, problem solver, decision maker, and resource manager. You will be the overall leader for multiple simultaneous projects, creating strategic plans, managing the activities of the jobsite workforce, ensuring jobsite safety, and controlling resources necessary to effectively meet project schedules and budgets for Plumbing, HVAC, Process Piping, M&R and/or Electrical scope.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the construction industry, with a thorough knowledge of Industrial Contracting Multi-Trade Services. A comprehensive understanding of project management processes, technology, and safety principles is essential. Strong communication skills are required, along with robust decision-making, problem-solving, resource allocation, and planning skills. The ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts and ideas in a non-technical, simple manner is a must. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required, and experience with a variety of construction industry specific software is definitely an asset.
Your specific duties will include developing and managing overall job activities, including schedule, manpower, equipment, and material. You will assist in the establishment and maintenance of project budgets, coordinate job-site requirements with foremen, subcontractors, and other personnel, and attend and effectively participate in project meetings. You will coordinate with the Purchasing Department to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials per budget, track materials to ensure schedules are maintained, and manage foremen, subcontractors, and other job site employees to ensure efficient operations.
Developing and maintaining relationships with owners, general contractors, vendors, suppliers, internal employees, and other trades on site is crucial. Clear and concise communication with internal and external personnel is a key aspect of this role.
