Overview

Hayward Holdings Inc. (NYSE "HAYW") is the largest manufacturer of residential swimming pool equipment in the world, with a significant presence in the commercial pool market that is continuously growing. Hayward designs, manufactures, and markets a full line of residential and commercial pool and spa equipment including pumps, filters, heating, cleaners, salt chlorinators, automation, lighting, safety, flow control and energy solutions at our company owned facilities. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, Hayward also has facilities in Tennessee, Arizona, and Rhode Island as well as Canada, Spain, France, Australia, and China. This position is based in ­Charlotte.

The Sr. Director – Revenue center of excellence (“COE”) directs company-wide activities and implements a strategy focused on generating, maintaining, and increasing revenue. Implements strategies to integrate and align functions across the organization, including Marketing, Sales, Product Development, Customer Success, and others, to achieve revenue targets and grow demand for the company's product and services. Establishes analytics and methods to measure and forecast demand and market conditions, identify operational deficiencies, and develop effective and data-driven pricing strategies. Conducts research to identify internal and external opportunities to expand and optimize revenue-producing activities. Establishes targets, policies, and internal processes to achieve efficiencies in revenue generation and capture. It is critical for the individual holding this position to have experience in Corporate Finance and a good understanding of Revenue growth strategies, Financial Planning and Analysis and product and market level analysis on a global scale. Solid financial knowledge, and analytical skills to translate complex financial information to a variety of audiences, and experience to develop critical processes and make changes. This will be a highly visible role with direct interaction with the Finance leadership team and executive team.

Responsibilities

  • Experience in creating an environment where people want to achieve their best. Experience should include specific examples of growing/developing a team via your management approach to help develop competency and empowering others to make decisions.
  • Manage and evolve the global COE Revenue team to drive strategic growth across product lines and geographies
  • Work with the Sales organization to develop frameworks for complex deal structures which accomplish customer objectives, while yielding desired economics and accounting outcomes
  • Thinks cross functionally within the organization for how we grow Revenue globally with a focus on core products and regional geographic approaches
  • Work with Sales organization to analyze competitive positioning in the global markets for specific product lines and customers, other ad-hoc analysis as needed
  • Partner with the Business (Sales, Legal, Product, and Pricing teams) to provide revenue guidance/consideration with respect to our growing product offerings
  • Lead monthly and quarterly analysis of price realization and relative performance of certain commercial programs and partner with commercial organization on strategic planning
  • Develop and implement robust revenue recognition processes to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
  • Maintain an effective internal control environment over the gross to net revenue process, including reporting and related accounting estimates
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of revenue analysis and establish KPI’s associated with revenue makeup
  • Serve as business owner of revenue related systems and provide leadership and strategic guidance to support system consolidation/upgrades, product initiatives and regulatory and tax compliance needs
  • Support business and finance teams in analysis of revenue related transactions and variances to budget
  • Provide management with financial reporting information and operational support

Qualifications

Capabilities/Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years’ experience in Finance, experience working in a global business. Commercial Finance experience and/or FP&A experience preferred.
  • Global public company experience subject to SOX regulation, preferably with manufacturing companies, operating across diverse regulatory frameworks, with sales and operations located in multiple countries
  • Experience proactively providing early insight, driving engagement, strong controllership, and ensuring that the implications of business decisions to the Sales and Operations organizations are well-understood
  • Experience leading global teams through significant business process changes
  • Experience with the application and adoption of new accounting standards preferred
  • Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and consistency in preparing work
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
  • Able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (advanced business degree preferred).
  • Preferred background in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) or Manufacturing.
  • English required, Spanish strongly preferred
