Safety And Maintenance Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe work environment by enforcing regulations and conducting regular safety communications.
- Oversee safety inspections and monitor monthly safety activities.
- Supervise union craft personnel responsible for equipment maintenance.
- Address equipment malfunctions promptly and maintain spare parts inventory.
- Uphold housekeeping practices and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Problem-solve, read blueprints, and utilize computer applications for tasks and reporting.
- Proficiency in industrial power equipment, transformers, and switchgear.
- Knowledge of up to 13.8kvDC & AC drives, PLCs, and mechanical systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective team collaboration.
- Manage maintenance operations during assigned shifts, ensuring productivity and quality standards are met.
- Provide technical guidance to operators and assist with complex problem-solving.
- Oversee personnel matters such as training, development, safety programs, and discipline.
- Supervise daily work assignments and contribute to the training of Shift Managers.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 3 years of heavy manufacturing experience and 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Alternatively, 2 years of military leadership experience can substitute for the manufacturing experience requirement.
- Preferred: Bachelor's or Associate's degree in an electrical field with 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting.
