HB Consultants is Hiring a Quality Systems Improvement Engineer Near Denver, CO

Critical Role in Quality Management and Process Improvement
  • Play a vital role in overseeing and enhancing operational processes within the organization. Utilize problem-solving skills and knowledge in auditing, procedure writing, measurement systems, SPC, and Six Sigma methodologies.
Responsibilities
  • Work closely with coworkers to ensure alignment with company objectives and the ISO 9001 Quality Management System standard.
  • Directly report to the Director of Technical & Quality Systems and may provide supervision to Quality Technicians as needed.
  • Enhance and maintain the effectiveness of the Quality Management System to meet Quality Objectives. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System Standard.
  • Manage specific duties including document control, revision control, internal audits, participation in external audits, Corrective and Preventive Action implementation, calibration and MSA of measuring systems, product quality review, quality issue investigation and reporting, weekend coverage coordination, and personnel training.
Qualifications
  • Strong familiarity and practical experience with the ISO 9001 Quality Management System standard. Capable of enhancing the QMS to meet higher standards.
  • Required: Six Sigma Green Belt certification. Preferred: Six Sigma Black Belt or CQE certification.
  • Preferred educational background in Metallurgical, Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering. However, relevant direct experience is valued.
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct experience as a quality and/or process engineer in a manufacturing setting. Experience in heavy manufacturing is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in SPC, MSA, Auditing, and Calibration. Familiarity with PFMEA, Control Plans, Kaizen, SMED, and lean tools is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret technical procedures. Ability to draft or update procedures with precision and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills essential. Capable of presenting information logically to various stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Flexibility for occasional travel, approximately 10-15% of working time.
