Operations Shift Manager Opportunity in Steel Manufacturing
ResponsibilitiesAs an Operations Shift Manager in Steel Producing, you will have overall responsibility for the operation and maintenance of the BOF or Caster facility. Your role involves providing necessary tools and resources to your supervised crew to ensure a safe, smooth, and efficient facility operation. You will manage the SPO BOF or Caster Shop crew, focusing on creating a safe and productive work environment. Additionally, you will prioritize and direct union personnel, oversee maintenance activities, uphold product quality standards, troubleshoot issues, lead continuous improvement activities, collaborate with contractors/vendors, and report key performance measures to your Supervisor to drive reliability and efficiency.

Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Two years of operations supervisory experience in an industrial setting, preferably in a union environment, or a candidate with at least 1 year of leadership experience and a keen interest in a manufacturing career
- Familiarity with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Bachelor's Degree
- Five years of experience in an industrial setting, particularly in BOF, Caster, or steel plant operations
- Three years in a supervisory role within operations
