Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating production costs and purchasing materials and supplies for our manufacturing processes. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and supply chain management.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes and product specifications to accurately estimate production costs.
• Responsible for Customer RFQs (Request for Quote)
• Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to optimize pricing and delivery terms.
• Maintain the RFQ log.
• Coordinate with production planners and engineers to ensure materials are ordered in a timely manner to meet production schedules.
• Manage tool library and update data in ERP system.
• Coordinate with engineering team for NPD data and milestones. 
• Other duties as assigned.

• Adheres to company Quality Management System policies and procedures to ensure product quality.

Experience and Education 

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred. 
• Minimum 3 years of Machining or Technical Experience
• Ability to read blueprints. 
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and supply chain management. Including honing, grinding, anodizing, shot peening, penetrant inspection and heat treating. 
• Knowledge of Tools for Mills and Lathe CNC Machines.
• SolidWorks preferred.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
