Job Summary And QualificationsWhat you will do in this role:
Lawnwood Hospital is a designated Certified Primary Stroke Center. The Physical Rehabilitation Center is CARF accredited. We are a Level II Trauma Center. We are verified by the American College of Surgeons. We offer a freestanding ER in Vero Beach. We provide emergency treatment for adults and children. We also offer the area’s only Level III Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care Units. At HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital patients come first – no matter what! Job Summary And QualificationsWhat you will do in this role:
- Assembles supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures.
- Prepares sterile instrument table.
- Prepares patient skin for surgery in accordance with hospital standards.
- Maintains aseptic techniques and actively monitors situations which could lead to breaches in aseptic technique.
- Positions patient according to type of surgery.
- Assists the surgical team in surgical procedures which may include passing instruments, sponges and sutures.
- Maintains work area.
- Gathers equipment for cleaning and sterilization
- Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Graduate of a Surgical Scrub Tech Program
- 1 - 3 years of recent acute care experience preferred.
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider (BLS certification).
- Ortho & Neuro experience helpful
- Call required
