Job Summary And QualificationsThe Imaging Aide Patient Transporter is responsible for transporting and assisting patient of all ages within the Hospital to and from the Imaging Services departments for tests and procedures. Will assist and perform clerical duties as assigned.
What you will do in this role:
- You will transport patients by ambulation, wheelchair, or stretcher as directed and dependent upon condition of patient.
- You will maintain IV tubing and /or Foley catheter, in a safe position during transport.
- You will inventory all transportation equipment at the end of each shift.
- You will instruct and assist (as needed) patients concerning proper gown or apparel for radiographic procedures they are to receive.
- You will manage moving of patient support devices such as IVAC pumps, oxygen, etc. and maintains integrity of the above as well as all lines, leads, etc. attached to the patient.
- You will work as a team player and meet the needs of the transport team.
- MINIMUM: Prior experience in a Hospital or Medical setting is helpful but not required. Good customer service and communication skills are required.
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification is required.
