We are seeking skilled Lead Security Installation Technician to join our team. In this role you will need to be familiar with installation, programming, testing, servicing, trouble shooting and repairing Access Control, CCTV and Intrusion Systems in medium and large multi-home buildings.
Installation Lead Technician:
- Installation of security and other low voltage systems in medium and large multi-home buildings.
- Technician shall have the ability to program or are experienced with programing Access Control, security & CCTV.
- Responsible for the execution of the installation project plan provided including equipment ordering, delivery, trouble shooting, commissioning as well as interface with other trades to successfully complete projects while exceeding customer's expectations.
- Communicate and effectively interact with other trades and building foreman.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
- Identify out of scope requests by the contractor or customer and notify management of pending changes.
- Evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot, and make repairs or adjustments as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including attending training classes when offered.
- Identify and assist with suggested solutions for an efficient installation to complete scope.
- Effectively communicate project status to project management.
- Complete all appropriate company paperwork as required.
Basic Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Applicants must meet requirements in relation to background and driving record.
- Must be proficient in the use and application of industry related equipment including MS Office.
- Must have excellent communications skills, using tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers.
- Must possess required knowledge and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.
- Ability to work from ladders or man lifts at extended heights.
- Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing a ladder, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 60 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
- Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools as required and lifting to 75lbs.
