Summary

The team is looking for a passionate, self-motivated and dynamic Engineering Project Manager to join a diverse team. We work in a highly collaborative and multi-functional environment, with multiple deadlines, handling numerous projects at a time. You will take responsibility for cross-functional projects involving differing business partners and ensure that they are planned and executed on time.

• Lead efforts on project management for a Failure Analysis (FA) team
• Develop strong links with the team of engineers, partner teams in other company functions and key external vendors
• Apply best-in-class project management methodologies on all projects
• Implement an effective communication strategy to ensure that all project partners are kept fully informed on project progress
• Ensure that projects are well scoped, utilize appropriate resources and apply well-costed solutions
• Provide succinct and accurate updates
• Ensure that the team meets its key goals and critical issues are clearly understood and communicated
• Flexible to deal with fast-changing business environments and focus on measurements including cost, quality and availability
• Tracking purchases across the organization and managing budget tools
• Flexibility to coordinate with global teams across multiple time zones

Key Qualifications

• 2 years relevant experience in a project management or engineering management role with a diverse array of projects and timelines.
• Facilitate communication across a project and alert broader team of changes to scope, timeline and resources
• Familiarity with a variety of materials characterization techniques (CT, OM, SEM, FTIR, XPS, etc)
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task with strict deadlines on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal skills are important, along with the ability to operate comfortably in a fast moving and flexible environment
• Ability to collaborate with different teams including engineering, operations, business functions and external vendors, using influencing skills to drive decisions and meet specific deadlines
• Analytical thinker who is data driven, with a can-do attitude and flexibility to accommodate evolving business needs
• Strong problem resolution, problem solving, and presentation skills
• Ability to articulate complex business and technical situations to a variety of audiences
• Proven strong technical skills in hardware

Education & Skills

Minimum B.S. in Engineering Management, Materials Science or a related field with 2 years industry experience encouraged to apply.
