HCSS, a 15-time "Best Company to Work For in Texas" software company in Sugar Land is searching for an IT Intern to join our Technology Team! This is a PAID internship where you will gain in-depth skills in our tech stack that will take you further to success. You will make an impact by contributing to our product teams to deliver high-quality software applications to our customers. Here's what we're looking for in one of our openings:
You're currently enrolled in an accredited college/university and able to commute to our office during your internship.
You're cooperative and like to lend a helping hand to others. We have a collaborative culture here at HCSS where teamwork makes the dream work!
You're detail-oriented, a problem solver, and a logical thinker.
Essential Position Functions:
Assist with equipment deployment and employee onboarding.
Respond to IT tickets and troubleshoot end-user system issues.
Manage IT equipment tracking and inventory.
Assist with device patching and system updates.
Collect and present metrics from various IT systems for the team to review.
Deliver a presentation on your newly acquired skills at the end of your internship.
Learning Opportunities:
Gain a deep understanding of enterprise-scale network infrastructure.
Explore Storage Area Networks and Cloud infrastructure.
Learn about core networking services such as print, DNS, DHCP, and Mail.
Deep dive into Cloud technologies including Azure, AWS, and Oracle.
Understand the fundamentals of Identity Management.
Gain exposure to business-grade SaaS applications.
Who Should Apply:
Current students or recent graduates in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Individuals with a keen interest in technology and a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Here's what to expect:
This internship is semester-based and we'll work around your school schedule. For the Summer Break, you can work up to 40 hours a week. During the Fall/Spring semesters, you can work up to 25 hours a week.
Training and mentoring will be provided and you'll receive feedback on your performance regularly. You'll have numerous opportunities to continuously grow your knowledge base.
