Job Title: Ancillary Application Analyst

Location: Norfolk, NE

On-site vs. Remote: Hybrid on-site / remote. Must be senior level to be remote, and live in the state of Nebraska.

Job Scope:

1. Maintains a positive effective relationship between IT team and clinical departments by acting as a liaison when needed.

2. Works with staff to recommend and implement workflow and technical solutions that address operational, procedural and systems related issues across the facility’s applications.

3. Responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of clinical applications to elicit optimum results.

4. Participates in testing and implementation of system upgrades in cooperation with technical staff, the applicable departments and software vendor.

5. Attends all required safety training programs and can describe his or her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, and specific job-related hazards.

6. Must be able to sit and/or perform computer-oriented tasks for a protracted amount of time.

7. Able to research and apply basic understanding of application setup and support of clinical information systems.

8. LIS (Clinisys/Sunquest) specific tasks include –

• Build and maintain instrument interfaces
• Build and maintain system interfaces, i.e. reference lab, state department of health, middleware
• Build new tests
• Build and maintain OL monitors, collection managers

Qualifications:

• Associate Degree or above required.
• Current, valid driver's license issued in the state of legal residence required.
• Previous experience with HL7, LIS and/or RIS/PACS required.
• Analytical Skills required.
• Knowledge of clinical systems and how clinicians interact with software required.
