The Role

Artemis is looking for a Phlebotomist to manage our lab at our clinical research site located in San Diego, CA. Under the supervision of the Site Director, the Phlebotomist will be responsible for operating our in-house clinical research lab, and supporting various activities associated with the day-to-day operations of the research department in the conduct of clinical trials.

Position Type: Full-Time

Pay Range : $23-$27/hr

Location: San Diego, CA - no remote work

Work Schedule: 5 days per week, no nights, no weekends! Monday & Thursday - 8:30am-5pm / Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 7:00am-3:30 pm

• Collect blood samples via venipuncture from clinical trial volunteers
• Prepare samples for lab testing, according to study requirements
• Perform simple laboratory testing on samples
• Operate laboratory equipment, such as centrifuges and incubators
• Process and ship laboratory specimens per the study requirements
• Conduct inventory of laboratory supplies, maintain an accurate record of all the inventory, and order supplies as needed
• Maintain working knowledge of the laboratory manuals for all current studies
• Maintain a high-level of organization of the laboratory at all times
• Complete all necessary logs on a regular basis

• Licensed as a phlebotomist within the state of California required
• Previous experience with lab draws/phlebotomy preferred; willing to consider newly licensed phlebotomists with no previous work experience
• 1 years of experience managing a lab preferred
• Excellent communication, punctual and responsible
