Responsibilities:
- Respond to inquiries from potential clients, family members, and referral sources regarding our facility's services and programs
- Provide information and education about our services, including treatment options, programs, and amenities
- Assess potential clients' needs and determine eligibility for admission
- Complete comprehensive intake assessments and gather necessary information to support the admissions process
- Facilitate the intake process, including scheduling appointments, completing necessary paperwork, and conducting phone or video interviews
- Coordinate with the treatment team to ensure a smooth transition into treatment
- Collaborate with billing company to verify coverage and benefits
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions with potential clients and referral sources
- Identify and address potential barriers to admission, such as financial or insurance issues
- Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources, including hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare providers
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in behavioral healthcare
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance knowledge and skills
- At least 1-2 years of experience in behavioral healthcare admissions or a related field
- Strong understanding of behavioral healthcare services, including mental health and substance abuse treatment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs) and other software systems
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, social work, counseling)
- Experience working in a behavioral healthcare facility or similar setting
- Bilingual or multilingual skills
- The Admissions Representative will work in a fast-paced office environment with frequent phone calls and interactions with clients and referral sources.
- The ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required to accommodate client needs
- This is an in-office position. Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm.
