Healio LIVE is Hiring an Event Marketing Specialist Near Jersey, NJ

Healio LIVE, a member of the Wyanoke Group, organizes in-person continuing education meetings for healthcare specialists. We’re seeking an Event Marketing Specialist, who will report directly to the VP of Marketing/Design, to promote educational opportunities to healthcare professionals and exhibit/sponsorship opportunities to industry members. This position may be fully remote, however, if local to our southern NJ office, may work 1-2 days in the office when needed. This opportunity is a full-time and salaried position with occasional travel.

The Event Marketing Specialist is responsible for managing multiple marketing plans to achieve meeting branding, engagement, attendance goals, exhibit/sponsorship participation and onsite presence. Promotional plans include print, digital, email, web, social media, and SEO communications such as journal advertisements, brochures, post cards, letters, emails, websites, web ads, SEO ads, social media posts and paid campaigns. Onsite at the events, we need to continue the branding and already generate momentum for the next year – we produce stage presence, signage, welcome and directional booths, program materials, custom and sponsored premium items, and more.

The ideal candidate should be able to manage ongoing projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, prioritize, multi-task, stay organized, pay attention to details, take direction, write professionally and creatively, proofread, work both independently and as part of a team, interact with all levels of the company, work together with web/print designers, solve problems, be self-motivated, driven to succeed, and be enthusiastic about accomplishing goals personally, as a team and as a company.

How do you know if you’re the right fit for us? If you’re the person in your circle who finds typos on menus, loves making to do lists and feels fulfilled crossing off completed tasks, plans all the parties, organizes the group vacations, sends a save the date way too far in advance, and is obsessed with checking all your accounts for updated activity...then you’ll most likely be a rockstar in this position.

Specific tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Execute marketing plans; meet deadlines; maintain budgets
  • Write marketing copy; edit, proofread, and stylize content for consistency
  • Coordinate production of print and digital materials; obtain necessary approvals; follow corporate and continuing medical education guidelines
  • Create social media ads/posts, including paid campaigns, and manage engagement
  • Evaluate current registration data/trends for effectiveness; research competition and other promotional strategies to make recommendations for changes in methods and materials
  • Extremely organized; driven by results and desire to constantly improve
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across divisions of Wyanoke

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, English, Public Relations, Psychology or a related field is required

Skills/Experience:

  • 1-5 years of experience in event marketing or project management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication as well as copywriting and proofreading skills with extraordinary attention to detail
  • Must be highly organized with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks and manage deadlines
  • Must be a self-starter, independently move projects forward, proactively gather information from various departments/sources to get projects done
  • Comfortable with best practices for various marketing tactics and channels including print, digital, email, web, social media, SEO
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate data/trends and make strategic suggestions
  • Experience with maintaining budgets and tracking expenses
  • Familiarity with continuing medical education standards or medical terminology is a plus

Technical Knowledge:

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Canva
  • Email marketing software (Selligent)
  • Event management platform (Stova/Aventri)
  • Mobile apps (Stova/Aventri)
  • All social media platforms
  • Google Analytics, SEO

Travel: Occasional travel to events is needed

The annual base salary for this position is $50,000 to $55,000. Placement within this range is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, knowledge, skills, education, years and level of experience, and equity with internal team members.
