This position is not a traditional teaching position. All students participate in a robust vocational component in their day, including but not limited to Agriculture, Carpentry, and Mechanics. Many of our students have had adverse reactions to traditional classroom settings; in our school, they are served in small classes with high staff-to-student ratios and natural incentives. Most of our students have Individualized Educational Plans created in conjunction with their sending school districts.Kindle Farm School believes that students learn best when their relationships with instructors are strong. Therefore, this position requires strong people skills, the ability to set firm but respectful limits, and diverse recreational interests.Responsibilities include: Implementation and adaptation of experiential curriculum with Social Studies team and co-teachersBehavioral support of students in collaboration with co-teachersImplementation of relevant IEP goalsCompletion of Grades, Quarterly Reports, and Curriculum logsParticipation in and Facilitation of afternoon activitiesSupervision of students during lunch, transitions, and breaksParticipation in behavioral, academic, and campus meetings and training
