OverviewCHI Health is seeking Acute Care Nurse Practitioners to join a consistently busy and rapidly expanding Hospital Medicine Service in Omaha, NE. As part of our team, you will work closely with our experienced Hospitalists to cover general medical admissions during the evening and overnight. This opportunity is suited for a self-motivated provider who thrives in a dynamic environment, interacting seamlessly with patients, nurses and physicians.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 Year of experience in similar role
  • Master's degree in Nurse Practitioner Studies from an accredited program
  • For APRN's - Acute Care certification is highly desired
  • Experienced providers must have worked in an inpatient setting
  • Certification by a nationally recognized certification organization
  • Ability to obtain licensure in Nebraska and Iowa
  • BLS

  • Patient Care:
    • Diagnose and treat various medical conditions.
    • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
    • Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories.
  • Communication:
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
    • Provide clear and concise medical information.
    • Foster a collaborative and patient-centered approach to healthcare.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
    • Document medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
    • Ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations.
  • Diagnostic Procedures:
    • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging.
    • Perform procedures as needed
    • Collaborate with specialists for further diagnostic evaluation.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
    • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
