SummaryChildbirth Education Coordinator demonstrates the ability to use appropriate principles of teaching and learning to provide quality educational programs to expectant families on a variety of topics related to pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting. In addition to serving as a childbirth instructor, the Childbirth Education Coordinator is a leader of the Childbirth Education Instructor team and works closely with the Clinical Director of Women's Health to sustain and develop the childbirth education strategy at HUP. ResponsibilitiesDevelops and updates childbirth education curriculum based on recent evidence from relevant professional organization. Coordinates all activities related to childbirth education, including registration, scheduling, and staffing. Collects and analyses data related to childbirth education. The Childbirth Coordinator shares this information with key stakeholders and makes recommendations for improvement. Functions in the role of the Childbirth Education Instructor. Communicates effectively and is responsive to include returning calls and emails promptly. Responds to patient concerns and escalates when appropriate.
