It also includes registration of specimens, ordering lab tests, specimen labeling, monitoring computer reports and other administrative duties as assigned.
Accountabilities
Minimum QualificationsEducation - High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience - No previous experience is required; Six months of experience in healthcare environment involving computer skills preferred

Accountabilities
- Performs specimen processing by identifying, sorting, aliquoting, centrifuging, and labeling biological samples. - 20%
- Performs semi-technical procedures such as calculating weight, measuring samples, and recording data. - 20%
- Operates laboratory computers to enter and retrieve lab data. - 20%
- Performs account registration and orders tests in the applicable system. - 20%
- Answers telephone inquiries, conducting analytical problem solving. Faxes results, fields specimen handling questions, dispatches couriers, and performs other administrative support and lab-related customer service duties. - 20%

- Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Knowledgeable on basic medical terminology (preferred)
