The telemetry monitor technician under direct supervision assists the nursing and medical staff by observing cardiac rhythms on the central monitor. They recognize and report changes that might occur and perform selected technical and assigned clerical duties.
Education, Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required
  • High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs. Successful completion of a cardiac rhythm course within 3 months of hire.
  • Documentation of successful training as a monitor technician or equivalent experience.
