Job Description & Requirements

- Duration: 13 weeks
- 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12 hours, nights
- Employment Type: Travel
Telemetry Travel RN
- Plan, execute, and evaluate patient care plans in consultation with the health care team.
- Monitor, interpret and record cardiac EKG strips.
- Monitor patients’ vitals and report adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered to assigned patients.
- Answer questions and educate patients and families on lifestyle changes, home care protocols, and ongoing treatments.
- If necessary, respond to medical emergency and alert appropriate team members.
- Flexibility to travel to the assignment location.
- Availability to work the facility’s required schedule.
- Willingness to complete onboarding items in a timely manner.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new environments and strive for the highest quality of patient care.
- Also referred to as: tele registered nurse, telemetry nurse, cardiac nurse, intermediate care nurse, IMCU nurse.
- 1 year of experience as a Telemetry nurse
- Graduate from an accredited nursing school
- Current state specific RN license in good standing, or if applicable, a compact state RN license in good standing
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
