We are seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team! As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer on the team, You will use your best judgment to interpret results and accurately differentiate between normal and abnormal findings, consult with colleagues as needed, and deliver the results to the patient in a kind, informative way. The ideal candidate has the necessary licensing, is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and has excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Preparing the diagnostic equipment before appointments
- Discussing the procedure and process with patients
- Transporting the equipment responsibly between two office locations
- Creating images using an ultrasound transducer and uploading on radiology portal
- Download the radiology read and save in patient charts to physician to review
- Identifying potential abnormalities detected with the images
- Communicating with physicians and other medical team members, who use the images to make a diagnosis
Qualifications
- Associate or higher degree with Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS Certified)
- Additional certification in RVS, RVT, or RPhS is required
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to work well by yourself and within a team environment
