Health Management Associates is Hiring an Administrative Assistant Near Salt Lake, UT

Job SummaryThe Administrative Assistant performs routine clerical and administrative functions such as answering phones, drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, preparing expense reports, maintaining calendars, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files, and assisting with special projects.
Work Performed
  • Greets visitors or callers and handles their inquiries or directs them to the appropriate persons according to their needs.
    • Answers telephones and gives information to callers, takes messages, or transfers calls to appropriate individuals.
  • Assists with expense report preparation for colleagues.
  • Maintains Outlook calendars for colleagues, schedules meetings/appointments as directed.
  • Operates office equipment, such as fax machines, copiers, or phone systems and arrange for repairs when equipment malfunctions.
  • Makes copies of correspondence or other printed material.
  • Assists with special projects as assigned.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Education/TrainingMinimum of an Associate Degree in business or related discipline is required. Work related experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
ExperienceAt least three or more years of experience in a clerical role within a health care environment.

Work Aids and Equipment UsedComputer, printer, copier, scanner, fax, telephone, web conferencing, video conferencing.
Working ConditionsWork is sedentary in nature and performed in an office environment. Involves frequent contact with staff and clients. Work may be stressful at times.
Physical/Mental DemandsWork requires hand dexterity for office machine operation; stooping, climbing, and bending to files and supplies; mobility to complete errands; stand/sit for up to eight hours each day; ability to communicate clearly when using the telephone; requires sitting; standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and twisting at times; moderate levels of stress.
