Medical Equipment Delivery Technician
In general, hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 - 5:00. Some deliveries could end up finishing after 5pm. Every 2 to 4 weeks, depending on current staff, you may be required to be on call for the week. This means being available to come in to make after hours deliveries on weekday evenings as well as weekends. In a typical week there are one to two weeknight deliveries and one to four weekend deliveries. You will be compensated an extra $100 for any week you are on call.
Responsibilities include loading a delivery van with medical equipment. This may include hospital beds, oxygen tanks, wheelchairs, oxygen concentrators, walkers, and many other items. Training will include how to assemble and setup equipment. Candidate must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs to load equipment onto van. A delivery may be local or could be 50 miles or more out of town. Must be available to work at least two weekends a month. No special skills or education required.
