Human Resources Director

Healthcare – Chicago Heights, IL

The Human Resources Director will provide human resource functions to the facility including employee recruitment, retention, benefits administration, and personnel policies as well as processing bi-weekly payroll. The ideal candidate for this position is an outgoing, self-starter with the ability to multitask. Experience as a Human Resources Manager in a long-term care facility is required.

Responsibilities:

• Process bi-weekly payroll.
• Reconcile timecards.
• Maintain accurate, neat, organized employee files in accordance with federal regulations.
• Act as a liaison to the employees and administration.
• Educate facility personnel on policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate OSHA files in accordance with current regulations.
• Organize and conduct general orientation.
• Oversee the full cycle recruitment activities.
• Processing candidate reference checks, background checks, and License Verification.

Human Resources Director Qualifications and Skills:

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Demonstrate basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Diligent and firm with high ethical standards.
• Knowledge of data analysis and reporting.
• Outstanding communications and interpersonal skills.

Human Resources Director Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree or Technical Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent degree preferred.
• 4-5 years of experience in Human Resource Management or management of personnel.
• Thorough knowledge of human resource management principles and best practices.
• Expertise in State and Federal Employment Laws.
• Prior experience in long-term care required.
