We currently have an opening for a Contract Licensed Massage Therapist to join our team at our outpatient physical therapy clinic in Mill Creek, WA. The Massage Therapist will perform evaluations of assigned patients and apply a range of appropriate therapeutic massage treatments. This position is a Contractor Licensed Massage Therapist position. We understand the importance of work/life balance. You can pick your own hours and schedule that works for you!

Position Summary:

  • Evaluate clients' soft tissue condition, joint quality and function, muscle strength, and range of motion
  • Develop and propose client treatment plans that specify which types of massage are to be used
  • Discuss with physical therapists to develop treatment plans for clients
  • Massage and knead the muscles and soft tissues of the human body in order to provide treatment for medical conditions, injuries or wellness maintenance
  • Maintain detailed and accurate treatment records of clients
  • Operates therapeutic devices, to include devices for the application of electrotherapy, ultrasound, heat, cold, iontophoresis, biofeedback, and compression
  • Assists in the cleanliness of the location (therapy rooms and common areas)
  • Document treatments accurately through EMR system

Physical Requirements:

  • Mobility: Ability to move around freely to assist patients and therapists.
  • Lifting: Capable of lifting and carrying equipment or assisting patients as needed (up to 50 pounds).
  • Standing: Extended periods of standing and walking during therapy sessions.
  • Manual Dexterity: Proficiency in handling therapy tools and equipment.
  • Visual and Auditory Skills: Ability to observe patients and communicate effectively.
  • Flexibility: Adaptability to changing tasks and schedules in a dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Working Conditions: This position involves working in a healthcare environment, interacting with patients with varying medical conditions. The therapist may need to work flexible hours based on patient schedules and clinic needs.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED and successful completion of Therapeutic Massage school
  • 1 years of post-licensure experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities of Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT)
  • Experience in Medical Massage Therapy highly preferred
  • Current State licensure for Massage Therapist
