We are looking for a motivated Physical Therapist to join our integrated medical practice in Shawnee, KS. Our state-of-the-art integrated office is conveniently located just outside of Kansas City. Ideally, the incoming Physical Therapist is a compassionate healer who is passionate about their patients and is committed to helping them recover their independence and mobility. We’re looking for someone with experience working with a wide range of acute and chronic patient injuries and all age groups, who is always ready to learn new techniques to further patient care. If you are an experienced Physical Therapist, we’d love for you to join our patient rehabilitation team and provide therapy and rehabilitations services to patients in our physical therapy facility. The Physical Therapist would partner with new and ongoing patients in our facility to create a Plan of Treatment consisting of the appropriate exercises, procedures and techniques required to promote effective, safe recovery. They will be responsible for collaborating with the clinic's Nurse Practitioner and Chiropractor to provide the best overall patient care. We are flexible in our need and can accommodate a PT looking to work full time or part time.

We believe that it’s time that our patients reclaim their productivity and vitality! Our appointment time for the initial visit is 60 minutes with any visit after consisting of 30-45 minutes. We believe in QUALITY one-on-one time with our patients and do not want our providers or the patients to feel rushed. Our office uses a team approach to treat patients non surgically, and we use a combination of regenerative injections, physical therapy, and chiropractic all towards getting to the root cause of the issue and not treating at a surface level. We have an outstanding and well-respected team of multidisciplinary providers, and we collaborate with each other and the patients to give our patients the best care that they need and deserve! Our healthcare professionals offer customized treatment plans including the state-of-the-art methods of both traditional and cutting-edge therapeutic care.
Duties:
  • Perform initial and ongoing physical therapy evaluations according to APTA standards of practice as well as state standards
  • Consult with referring Physicians/Healthcare team regarding diagnosis as needed
  • Evaluate mobility, strength and current level of patient function, while setting goals to improve in these areas that are scaled to patient abilities and realistically attainable.
  • Develop and implement physical therapy treatment programs based on each patient's particular needs- including short- and long-term goals, collaboration demands of other staff members, and required patient and caregiver involvement.
  • Implement Plan of Treatment on a consistent schedule and adjust this schedule and plan according to patient progress.
  • Assist patients with all phases of physical therapy treatment and techniques to include exercise instruction, modern modalities, and activities of daily living
  • Patient education on the benefits of PT, treatment plan maintenance, and home exercises
  • Documentation/progress notes- accurate and timely records, document treatments rendered in patient charts, Record patient conditions and responses to treatments in charts after each visit
  • Collaboration with the other healthcare professionals and staff for comprehensive patient care
  • Communicate effectively with both the staff and patients
  • Contribute to the development and promotion of the practice
  • Create an excellent experience for patients through a friendly and focused attitude
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications, etc.
  • Assist other facility staff members as needed to provide care and create a clean, orderly and effective environment for rehabilitation and physical therapy.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an Accredited Physical Therapy Program
  • Current Physical Therapy license for Kansas
Schedule:
  • Full time or Part time
  • Full time is 4 Day Work Week (M,W 9:00 am - 6:00 pm, T,Th 8:00-5:00)
Compensation:
  • $70k-$80k per year (DOE)
