Job Title: Local Contract/Travel – MRI Technologist

Weekly Pay: $2,073
Department: Magnetic Resonance Imaging
Shift timings: 07:30 - 16:00- Monday to friday (5 Days/8 Hours)
Per Week: 40 Hours
Second Shift: Monday-Friday, Call will be required. And help with holiday call. Call for this shift will include weekend coverage.
Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body.
• Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination.
• Enter and monitor patient data, transfer images from disk to magnetic media to produce the transparency, and develop film in an automatic processor.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
• Ensure equipment is properly functioning. Report potential problems or equipment malfunction toappropriate personnel.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.

Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• The ability to stand for extended periods.
• Strong technical skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Passionate about patient care
• Requires a minimum of two years of current MRI Tech experience.
• Graduate from a fully accredited MRI Tech program
• Active unencumbered MRI Tech Oklahoma state license
• One year of Epic experience
• ARRT Certification
