You will be required to give sedation and monitor patients assisting the cardiologists during the entire catheterization process.
Nurses in the Cath lab perform a range of tasks, including reviewing pre-procedure checklists, medical records, test results, and relevant patient information.
Responsibilities
Assess, prepare and position patients for procedures.
Perform conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring as necessary.
Prepare, implement and document plan of care.
Communicate patient's condition to physician before, during and after procedures.
Perform and/or facilitate diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures.
Perform set up and provide equipment and supplies before, during and after procedures.
QualificationsRequirements
BLS and ACLS
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
The ability to stand for extended periods.
Strong technical skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology
Passionate about patient care
Requires a minimum of two years of current RN Cath Lab experience.
Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
Active unencumbered RN Alabama state license
One year of Epic experience
ARRT Certification
COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
