- Department: Cardiac Cath Labs Anc
- Shift Timing: 07:00 - 15:30 Hours (8 hours/5 Days)
- Per Week: 40 Hours
- You will be required to give sedation and monitor patients assisting the cardiologists during the entire catheterization process.
- Nurses in the Cath lab perform a range of tasks, including reviewing pre-procedure checklists, medical records, test results, and relevant patient information.
- Assess, prepare and position patients for procedures.
- Perform conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring as necessary.
- Prepare, implement and document plan of care.
- Communicate patient's condition to physician before, during and after procedures.
- Perform and/or facilitate diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures.
- Perform set up and provide equipment and supplies before, during and after procedures.
- BLS and ACLS
- National Institutes of Health (NIH)
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- The ability to stand for extended periods.
- Strong technical skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Passionate about patient care
- Requires a minimum of two years of current RN Cath Lab experience.
- Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
- Active unencumbered RN Alabama state license
- One year of Epic experience
- ARRT Certification
- COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
- Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
- Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
- Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
- Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
- A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
- Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
