Job Title: Local Contract – Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Cardiology Number of positions: 1 Years of experience: One to three years Shift: Night shifts– 40 hours Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: ASAP Hourly pay: $37.36 OT: 1.5 Weekly Pay: $1,344.96 SummaryJOB DESCRIPTION Department: Nursing Administration Shift Timing: 19:00 - 07:00 Monday to Friday 3 days 12 hour shift Per Week: 36 Hours 409 bed hospital located in Birmingham, Alabama. The RN positions within our organization are three 12 hour shifts per week, with every other weekend required. Holiday rotation will be required.
Four Medical Units that we are working to fill these positions for.
Nurse patient ratio at night is 1:6.
There are patient care techs to assist with patient care.
All medical floors have remote monitoring capabilities, with a Centralized Monitoring Room that monitors these patients.
Every other weekend required
Minimum of 1 Summer Holiday required BCLS required
Responsibilities
Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Qualifications
BLS and ACLS
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
The ability to stand for extended periods.
Strong technical skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology
Passionate about patient care
Requires a minimum of two years of current RN Med/Surg experience.
Graduate from a fully accredited RN program, BSN preferred
Active unencumbered Alabama RN license
One year of Cerner experience
Requirements
COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
