JOB DESCRIPTION

• Performs ultrasound examinations of the cerebral, peripheral, and abdominal vessels to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disorders affecting circulation.
• Monitoring blood flow.
• Identifying blockages.
• Finding blood clots, tumors, aneurysms and other blood vessel abnormalities.
• Determining if angioplasty is a viable treatment option.
• Assessing outcome of a bypass or graft of blood vessels.
• COVID vaccination required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of two years in vascular sonography

License/Registration/Certification

• Required - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or registry eligible (required within 1 year of hire)
• Advanced certification in area(s) of specialty according to facility need
• CPR (by the American Heart Association)
• BLS, ACLS - American Heart Association

• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
