Healthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need for a Community Worker- Outreach and Patient Transport. The Community Worker (CW) will provide administrative and data entry support for Public Health's response efforts and projects.

The CW may complete on-site support for testing at different sites, including homeless shelters and encampments. The CW will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to complete the testing and outbreak investigations at sites in the field and complete follow-up work in the office, as well as provide prevention information in the community.

Upon acceptance and employment clearance and are initially funded through 12 / 31 / 2024, with a strong chance of extension.

Pay Rate-

$18.21 / hr working 40 hours a week

Location Schedule : The position will require 2 days of work from the office and 3 days a week in the field supporting various outreach events and TB testing screening sites.

The Community Worker will also be responsible for utilizing a County vehicle to transport patients that need assistance in getting to testing locations.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Six months of full-time experience working with the public or with community groups performing duties such as interviewing clients or patients concerning health or social service matters, answering questions, and providing information about health, mental health, and social services to clients or patients; and
  • A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
  • Bilingual Spanish is preferred.
