We are seeking an experienced and compassionate MedSurg/Telemetry/Oncology Nurse for a 13-week travel contract in Bakersfield, California. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional nursing care to patients in MedSurg, Telemetry, and Oncology units.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs, telemetry readings, and patient conditions.
• Administer medications, chemotherapy, and other treatments in accordance with care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Provide post-operative and ongoing care for oncology patients, ensuring a holistic approach to treatment and recovery.
• Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment plans, and post-hospital care.
• Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and patient safety measures.

Requirements:

• Current and valid RN license in California (Compact License not accepted in California).
• Minimum of 2 years of MedSurg/Telemetry/Oncology nursing experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; Oncology Nursing Certification preferred.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing healthcare environment.
• Prior travel nursing experience is preferred but not required.
