Healthcare Support is Hiring a Medical Claims Examiner Near Salem, NC
HealthCare Support is actively seeking a Medical Claims Examiner to fill an opening with a prestigious healthcare organization.
Daily Responsibilities for the Medical Claims Examiner:
- Read and interpret language in respective client’s Plan Document to ensure accuracy in processing claims
- Read and verify accuracy of any plan amendments, restatement of benefits, or new group documents
- Determine any correlation in the Coordination of Benefits (COB) on each claim, verify information and coordinate calculation of benefits before issuing payments
- Review and investigate appeals. Forward appeals and related documentation to designated person for review
- Perform adjustments and request refunds as necessary
- Answer member/provider calls for groups that are not set to use general customer service
- SHIFT: Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. EST with an hour lunch break
- 100% REMOTE!
- High school graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- 3 years of medical claims experience from a TPA or commercial payor
- Strong math and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Ability to take care of the customers’ needs while following company procedures
- Ability to calculate and perform adjustments with strong basis in math
- TPA experience
