The Job
Collaborate with the enterprise cross-functional team in the planning and design of consumer experience initiatives and activities. Create data driven storytelling presentations for multiple stakeholders to illustrate and get buy-in on concepts and points-of-view.
You Will
  • Plan, design and conduct qualitative research studies (e.g., in-lab, in-field, remote) using ethnographic and participatory methods and analyze results.Develop and schedule research plans that outline study goals and methodology.
  • Translate user research, user flows and business requirements into visually compelling tools that communicate key internal and external user interactions to inform and inspire various stakeholders and support them in meeting user needs and achieving business goals. Balance user experience, business needs, technically feasibility and time-to-market, and adjust deliverables where appropriate.
  • Create service design artifacts such as navigation flows, mental models, user journeys, service blueprints and eco-systems, persona development and scenario storytelling as well as functional wireframes.Lead and facilitate ideation and co-design working sessions and workshops leveraging Lean and human-centered research and design methods.
  • Work closely with analytics, data scientist and customer success teams to collect various metrics to augment UX research data, uncover insights and inform design solutions. Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to conceptualize beautiful and intelligent user experiences.
  • Communicate design concept ideas through sketches, wireframes and prototypes. Construct interaction models, customer flows, ecosystem diagrams and taxonomy for products and services.Work within an iterative design process that includes accepting and acting on feedback from interdisciplinary teams and customers.
  • Support SCAN online community engagement platform. Activities include working with cross functional teams to create surveys in the platform and report on the survey outcomes to the business. Work with Communications team to execute the community engagementstrategy.
  • Support the planning, analysis and design of Consumer Experience (CX) initiatives, defined as part of the CX Strategy, and support the rollout of CX initiatives across the enterprise working with cross-functional departments.
  • Create deliverables for the planning and designing stages of CX initiatives, such as user stories, storyboards, user requirements, business requirements, Personas, Journey Maps, customer ecosystem maps, etc.
  • Drive the design process by independently defining requirements, scoping projects and prioritizing tasks.
  • Support the CX Committee and other additional workgroups in planning and coordination of committee activities.
  • Take end-to-end responsibility in creating design deliverables that serve the needs of both business and technology.
  • Build the capability of person-centered design thinking at the company, resulting in tangible improvements across our portfolio of products and approaches that solve customer problems.Project manage the Member Communications Management including scope, schedule, budget and member communication activities across all departments.
  • Actively support the achievement of SCAN's Vision and Goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Your Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Art/Creative disciplines preferred
  • 5 years of professional experience with end-to-end service and/or project design.
  • Experience with Design Thinking and Design Sprints.
  • Depth of experience in at least one practice area (user experience, user research, service design, design strategy)
  • Familiar with Design Systems, Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design.
  • Proficient in qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Possess a strong portfolio showcasing examples of human-centered design.
  • Proficient in the iterative design process that includes accepting and acting on feedback for interdisciplinary teams and customers.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, required.
  • Proficient with design and prototyping tools such as AdobeCC, Sketch, InVision, Miro and UX Pin.
  • Ability to learn and apply new emerging technologies quickly.
  • Advanced ability to create pitch decks, white papers, experience maps, user journeys and service blueprints, interaction models, flows, and wireframes.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, analyze and evaluate.
  • Strong commitment to detail with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in experience design and UX design concepts is preferred, especially in the areas of service design, human centered design and interaction design.
