Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
Summary: Provide immediate nursing care to patients in emergency situations, assess and prioritize patient needs, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver timely and effective treatment.
Responsibilities:
- Triage and assess patients upon arrival, determining the urgency of care needed.
- Perform emergency medical procedures, such as CPR, wound care, and medication administration.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatment, adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Communicate with physicians, specialists, and ancillary staff to coordinate patient care.
- Provide education and support to patients and families during times of crisis.
Requirements:
- RN licensure.
- Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN) preferred.
- ACLS, PALS, and/or BLS certification required.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
Working Conditions: Emergency Departments in hospitals or urgent care centers. Shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is common.
