Swim Instructor - Bentonville, AR
Walton Family Whole Health & Fitness Center
Part-time, 10 hours per week
Walton Family Whole Health & Fitness Center, managed by HealthFitness, is looking for Swim Instructors to join the aquatics team in Bentonville, AR. In this position, you will provide effective and safe swim instruction to adults and children participating in private or small group lessons. You will design individualized programs to meet the participant's interests, abilities, and goals.
What You'll Be Doing

• Plans and organizes personal class teaching outlines, methods and goals that support the general teaching outlines provided by the Aquatics Director and the American Red Cross Swimming Program and is responsible for the positive instruction, leadership, supervision, control, and safety of all swim lesson patrons.
• Enforces pool safety standards and facility operational rules for all individuals using the facilities, and help organize and assist in the development of special programs, activities or instruction.
• Establishes positive public relations with parents/guardians of class students helping them recognize and understand swimming developments and achievements.
• Provide for the health and safety of participants, including ensuring that all teaching and practice areas are free of hazards and that materials and equipment are safe.
• Performs other duties as needed/required.

What You'll Need To Have

• Must be at least 17 years old.
• Water Safety Instructor certification from American Red Cross required.
• Adult and pediatric CPR/AED/First Aid certification through the American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required prior to start date.
• Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills including the ability to motivate others.
• Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands, meet deadlines, and collaborate with all business units.
• Must have a strong swim background.
• Proficiency in all swim strokes.
