HEAPY is seeking a Recruiter in a flexible arrangement where you can do your best work in a hybrid or on-site work option in our Dayton or Cincinnati office.
SUMMARY
This colleague plays a crucial role in building a talented workforce that aligns with HEAPY’s Purpose Mission, Vision and Core Values and contributes to the success of HEAPY’s growth by translating HEAPY’s culture into a successful recruitment and onboarding experience for candidates. This position researches, develops, and implements effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization and manages the full cycle interviewing/hiring/onboarding process of new full-time and part-time colleagues. The Recruiter serves as a liaison between hiring managers and candidates to ensure a thoughtful, efficient and professional experience for the colleagues and candidates.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field.
- 7 – 10 years of experience in successfully managing all phases of the recruitment, hiring and onboarding process, including sourcing and screening.
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and interviewing skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of laws, regulations and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
- Proven reputation for comfortably, professionally and successfully negotiating with candidates.
- Demonstrated familiarity with various ATS software.
- Clear proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR or SHRMS Talent Acquisition Specialty is preferred.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains clear knowledge of HEAPY Corporate Vision, Mission, and Core Values and demonstrates awareness of how those objectives relate to all position responsibilities.
- Approaches all assigned tasks as an opportunity for growth and experience, modeling the way for other team members.
- Continually advances technical education and personal development aligned with OKRI goals.
- Collaborates with executive suite, practice directors and operations managers to identify staffing needs.
- Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process, ensuring the candidate’s experience reinforces the positive culture of HEAPY.
- Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available position, industry standards and the needs of the organization.
- Continually drives in HEAPY organization a mindset of continual recruiting in all interactions with the engineering community.
- Drafts and publicizes job openings in appropriate and relevant places that may include online sources such as HEAPY.com LinkedIn, Indeed and educational and professional journals and publications.
- Promotes diversity and inclusion in hiring practices and proactively seeks a diverse pool of candidates.
- Identifies and participates in career/job fairs that produce diverse and qualified candidate pipelines. Collaborates with other HEAPY colleagues as partners in representing the organization and meeting with candidates at events.
- Encourages and follows up on colleague referrals.
- Manages the candidate application process, including reviewing applications, conducting initial interviews, assesses candidates’ qualifications, skillsets and career interests.
- Leads, schedules and assists with the technical screening and interview process, including guiding colleagues on interviewing techniques, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending geographically competitive salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
- Prepares and presents job offers, effectively showcasing HEAPY’s value proposition to candidates.
- Sensitively and effectively communicates with candidates not selected for roles in a manner that builds relationships and fosters potential for future contact.
- Actively plans all aspects of successful candidate onboarding, including planning, scheduling and conducting onboarding activities, equipment preparation, etc.
- Manages the Applicant Tracking System and Recruiting platforms (such as LinkedIn and Indeed).
- Maintains contacts in the engineering community through active participation and membership in professional societies, continually establishing relationships with a passive candidate pipeline
- Collaborates with and manages all external recruiting efforts- including consultants, headhunters, and staffing agencies.
- Builds relationships within HEAPY by serving on committees to share recruitment messaging so that candidate experiences can be considered when decisions are being made.
- Stays current with industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies to better understand the needs and preferences of AEC professionals.
- Ensures compliance with all employment laws and regulations and maintains accurate records of candidate interactions.
- Actively participates in Human Resource department activities- including, but not limited to yearly reviews, HEAPY Summit, community involvement, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Ability to be sedentary at desk for periods of time while operating a keyboard, stylus and/or mouse and using a computer screen.
- Ability to accommodate in-person appointments/travel in schedule with limited notice.
- Possession of Reliable transportation to and from appointments/Clients/activities.
- Ability to communicate in person, in writing and via phone with other individuals.
- Ability to work in all elements of indoor and outdoor environments which include the heat, cold, rain, snow, wind, etc.
- Ability to move, transport, or position items weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to follow safety guidelines for both company and Clients.
- Ability to gather, organize and evaluate information related to marketing needs (such as talent market analysis, budgets, finances, etc.).
