ResponsibilitiesWhat You'll Do:
Oversee and post to the brand’s Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram accounts
Work with Apple News to create dynamic experiences for the iPhone and iPad reader, plus handle strategy around push notifications for the brand
Monitor social media platforms and communicate audience feedback
Work with various editorial teams to create and execute on social-first initiatives
Translate print and digital stories into social-first moments
Develop new and innovative strategies for growing social presence and community
Work with branded content and partnership teams to produce, edit, and execute paid programs
QualificationsWho You Are:
3 years of post-grad social media experience, preferably for a consumer editorial brand
Strong editorial judgment and clean writing skills
Keen understanding of the brand’s voice
Must love spotting and trying the newest social trends
Proficiency with social platforms (including TikTok, Instagram and other emerging platforms) and tools (including TrueAnthem, Google Analytics, and CrowdTangle)
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Able to work nights and weekends as needed
Bachelor’s degree in journalism or other relevant area
The base salary for this role is between $67,000-77,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This is a position covered under the Writers Guild of America, East, Collective Bargaining Agreement.
