Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist

Salary: $36 to $45.11 per hour

Schedule: Full-time, Days and Nights

This expansion will enhance vital departments and introduce new capabilities such as an 11-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, additional operating rooms, and advanced procedural areas. Job Summary:

As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will provide essential respiratory care services under the direction of the attending physician and healthcare team. This role includes administering therapies such as oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, ventilatory support, and airway management. You will also contribute to emergency resuscitation efforts as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer a wide range of respiratory care procedures including but not limited to oxygen therapy, inhaled medications, invasive and non-invasive ventilation, and airway management.
• Engage in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and emergency care situations.
• Adhere strictly to infection control, HIPAA regulations, and other established operational policies.
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to enhance patient outcomes and clinical efficiency.
• Participate actively in continuous quality improvement processes, identifying and implementing best practices in respiratory care.

• Comprehensive knowledge of respiratory care modalities, equipment, and pharmaceuticals.
• Strong ability to engage in critical thinking and problem-solving in fast-paced settings.
• Proficient in electronic medical documentation, data entry, and general computer operations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with diverse teams.

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent educational background.
• Experience: Entry-level; less than 1 year of experience required, with opportunities for new graduates.
• Certifications:
• Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer.
• Must be licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) by the Texas Medical Board.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required.
