Brief DescriptionAll offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a negative drug screen test*, criminal background check, reference checks, infection prevention procedures (TB test, Flu Shot, immunization records, etc.) and acknowledgement of policies. Salary range is $ 19.38 to $ 23.46 based on years of experience. Additional pay maybe granted based on expreince.Essential Duties Per Area Of Responsibility

Communicates any patient concerns or issues directly with their provider whenever possible and consults immediately with their immediate supervisor if
there is not a satisfactory resolution, and if there are any non-patient concerns or issues. Does not wait to be rounded on to share concerns.
The Clinic CMA demonstrates positive teamwork, utilizes problem-solving techniques to prevent conflict and maintains a calm and safe environment for
customers and staff. The CMA is responsible for assisting in the provision of clinic patient services and actively participating in the strategic planning process and the performance improvement process.
Acts as a liaison between the hospital and local/consulting physician offices to foster cooperative relationships and problem solves issues regarding the clinic.
Performs administrative work, such as coordinating appointments, scheduling lab tests, answering phones, performing follow up.
Performs clinical tasks, including collecting specimens, changing dressings
Possesses personal care skills and recognition of mental health and social service needs
Possesses basic restorative services
Prepares exam rooms, instruments, assisting with procedures, removing contaminated waste
Administers medications as directed, recording test results, vital signs, patient data
Interviews patients, explaining treatment plans, preparing patients for tests and procedures
Participates in daily huddles
Reviews the patient schedule and services ordered report daily.
Assists with closing the loop on results and reminds the provider to check and follow up on results.
Monitors/reminds their provider to utilize save and validate code (check medical necessity).
Participates in time out before procedures
Assists with ensuring quality payment metrics are met.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor(s) and/or provider.
RequirementsEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program and/or certification as a Medical Assistant. Medical office experience is preferred.

Must maintain current CPR certification
