Assembler Duties & Responsibilities:

Rotates jobs according to job rotation schedule utilizing various skills (welding, painting, press brake operation, machine operation, assembly, box/pack out, oxy acetylene torch, carpentry).
Uses small hand tools or light powered tools to construct sub-assemblies, assemblies, or finished products.
Operates machinery to fabricate sub-assemblies and/or parts (i.e. roller, beader, spot welder, riveter, stacker, lancers, crimpers, flat wash, presses).
Completes quality and safety checks, procedures, and documentation.
Performs equipment preventative maintenance as directed.
Accurately use measuring tools to check requirements (ie: 6-inch rule, protractor, caliper, tape measure, go-no-go gauges).
Practices safety awareness.
Participates in continuous improvement activities.
Recognizes and responds to internal and external customer needs.

Skills and Abilities:

Is willing and able to rotate in various cell rotations as needed.
Focused on the direct impact to the quality of product produced.
Performs work that minimizes the cost impact to the organization such as scrap exposure and probability of quality errors.
A willingness to assist in other production areas as needed to support the needs of the overall company.
May train others on occasion.

Education and Experience:

Proficient in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, decimals), reading and writing.
Participation in rapid continuous improvement.
Blueprint reading experience.
1 years of work in a manufacturing position
Mechanical aptitude preferred.
