DescriptionPosition Summary:The Strategic Partner Relations Manager is responsible for building and maintaining Heartland Business Systems’ core and emerging partner and distributor relationships to optimize profitability and ease of doing business.

Roles and Responsibilities/ Essential Functions:
  • Drive back-end dollars by managing assigned strategic HBS partner relationships, such as Microsoft, Cisco, HPE, Verkada, HPI and others.
  • Ensure that HBS Finance and the data from HBS partners align. There must be one source of truth.
  • Ensure the HBS Inside Sales, Renewals, and Partner Relationship teams are aligned with regards to attach and renewal rates to ensure compliance with manufacturer and to drive an increase in backend dollars received, based on manufacturer metrics.
  • Work with CCO, COO, and the Sales Leadership Teams to determine which partners we will have strategic relationship with and determine which programs we are participating in.
  • Create relationships with partners that enable HBS to participate on state contracts to drive revenue and gross profit to HBS.
  • Develop and Execute Partner strategy along with Sales and Engineering to maximize Revenue and Margin Growth of assigned partners.
  • Ensure Partner Renewal and Attach metrics are achieved to maximize profitability.
  • Regularly meet with channel and distribution channel managers to maintain a strong company relationship, negotiate MDF availability and usage, and to learn of upcoming programs and opportunities. Familiarize partners with HBS processes, requirements, and significant staffing changes.
  • Build strong relationships between Distributors (Ingram, Tech Data, etc.) and HBS, to enable distribution/manufacturer programs which will maximize our ability to drive profit and margin.
  • Work with Legal on partner onboarding and renewals paperwork.
  • Be the overall go-to teammate on all issues involving assigned partners.

Required Experience:
  • 5 plus years of experience working in a program management or alliance role
Preferred Experience:
  • Partner relations experience at another VAR
Required Skills, Education and/ or Certifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
