Job Title: Senior Construction Estimator
Reports To: Vice President of Pre-Construction
Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Job Summary:
Heartland Construction is seeking a Senior Construction Estimator with extensive experience and knowledge of Construction estimating, means and methods, accounting, document administration and a competent understanding of industry practices, in addition to strong computer and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other construction documents to prepare time, cost, materials and labor estimates for construction projects.
- Computes estimates for material costs, manpower labor hour requirements, leased equipment, subcontracted work, production scheduling, and permit requirements and associated costs.
- Ability to perform value engineering as necessary
- Ability to develop and maintain subcontractor/supplier relationships
- Ability to coordinate BIM Modeling Requirements
- RFI’s
- Prepares final contract estimates
- Prepare and execute Subcontract Scope Requirements
- Develop procurement strategies to minimize lead times
- Ability to discern LEED compliance
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s (Preferred)
- Construction Estimating: 5 years (Preferred)
- General Contractor 5 years (Preferred)
- Estimating Software 5 Years (Preferred)
Salary and benefit package is very competitive and commensurate on experience
