Oversee the operations and integration of all services for Wellness clinic. The AVP will have direct oversight of one primary site and 8 satellites habilitative service clinics for individuals with Developmental Disabilities. The AVP will ensure that across HeartShare Developmental Disability services as well as within the community, clinic services are meeting the needs of vulnerable children and adults in Staten Island, Brooklyn and Queens.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of Position
Manage operations such that the clinic operates within board approved budget.
Oversee clinic services for all participants, including management of Article 16 relationships and other health providers to ensure participants in our care receive high quality services.
Oversee and expand the 8 satellite clinics - monitor revenue, quality of care.
Create a team environment where staff have the support they need and access to professional development.
Manage relationship with OPWDD, DOH and Medicare ensuring overall compliance.
Manage all audits by oversight entities ensuring all requirements are met.
Development of dashboards in collaboration with our department of data analytics, for all services allowing for regular review of revenue and program quality, using appropriate measures
Ensure Medicaid and Medicare billing is submitted and received in a timely manner.
In collaboration with the Clinic Director, conduct monthly visits to all satellite clinic locations to provide oversight and supervision of services.
Hold bi-weekly meetings with Chief Accountant to review accounts receivables.
Attend Leadership Council Meetings and Retreats. Participate in agency-wide strategic planning.
Develop and/or update specific Wellness policies as needed and required.
Represent HeartShare Wellness regarding any audit and rate matters with OPWDD.
Ensure that the clinic is in ongoing compliance with all OPWDD and Medicaid/Medicare regulations. Keep abreast of changes in Article 16 Medicaid/Medicare regulations while sharing the information with staff and clinicians. Ensure all staff are trained in all above regulations.
Keep CEO, CPO and SVP informed of all major HeartShare Wellness operational matters and issues on a regular basis.
Provide written update to all Board Members for all Board meetings.
In collaboration with our marketing department, ensure that adequate promotional materials are available.
I collaboration with our Marketing department, ensure that the HeartShare Wellness website is maintained and updated on a regular basis.
Ensure adherence of the clinic staff to HeartShare Wellness’ mission and policies/procedures.
Remain sensitive to and ensure staff responsiveness to cultural differences in HeartShare Wellness service population.
Represent HeartShare Wellness both within and outside the clinic in a manner that promotes the values, goals and mission of the organization
Undertake any additional assignments at the request of the Wellness Board President, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Program Officer and Senior Vice President of Operations.
