The Prevention & Early Intervention Services Coordinator

Job Summary:

  • The Master's level Services Coordinator will be responsible for administering and overseeing all clinical, therapeutic and administrative functions of the Prevention and Early Intervention Continuum, including Prevention Services, Therapeutic Preschool (TP), the Regional Intervention Program (RIP), Child Abuse Prevention Program (CAP), and Re-Directions Intensive Outpatient Program.
  • This includes provision of and oversight for individual/group/family sessions and case management, in addition to crisis intervention, emergency services as needed and discharge planning.
  • The Services Coordinator provides administrative and clinical supervision for a team of supervisors and performs all administrative duties required to adhere to the guidelines of the program.
  • The Services Coordinator monitors all programs for compliance to HRMC P&P and funder expectations.
  • Responsible for representing programs, as well as the center at community meetings.
  • Responsible for monitoring all contracts for productivity compliance.
  • Ensures coverage for program vacancies and is able to perform front line duties as needed.
  • The Services Coordinator will also provide administrative supervision for Prevention staff, Re-Directions counselors/case managers, TP staff, CAP staff, and RIP staff, and performs all administrative duties required to adhere to the guidelines of the program and any associated contracts.
  • Administrative duties could include but are not limited to caseload responsibilities, hiring and training new staff members, continued staff development, monthly reporting in house, promoting the program with outside agencies, assisting staff to meet set productivity standards and ensuring compliance with HRMC policy and procedures, funding sources and CARF standards.
  • The Services Coordinator oversees and/or provides information and referral, agency linkage, advocacy, home visits, and follow-up services as defined by the Prevention, TP, RIP, CAP, and Re-Directions treatment models and Case Management Service Plans and ensures that each clinician on the team does the same for the consumers on their caseloads.
  • The Services Coordinator provides clinician coverage as needed. Utilizes center wide resources and community services as needed for client benefit.

COMPENSATION:

  • Starting salary for this position is approximately $57,264 /yr based on relevant experience and education.

Travel:

  • This position also requires that the employee has an F Endorsement on Driver License to be available to transport individuals as needed.

Equipment/Technical Competency:

  • Should be proficient on a variety of office equipment, including: copier, scanner, fax machine, computer desktop/laptop, telephone, electronic medical records etc.

QUALIFICATIONS - Prevention & Early Intervention Services Coordinator Education:

Experience / Knowledge:

  • Mental health professional and graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's Degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, or other related field of study with a minimum of three years' pertinent work experience, including at least one year of supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of addiction and adolescent development is preferred.

Physical/Emotional/Social:

  • Ability to effectively and ethically counsel children and families.
  • Ability to present professionally and work within a team format to plan, implement, and evaluate successful interventions.
  • Ability to effectively complete individual sessions and family groups with children and families.
  • Ability to work within a team format to meet positive goals for children and interface with other agencies involved in the ecology of the family.
  • Must be capable of assisting in utilizing non-violent methods of crisis intervention including therapeutic holding. (training provided)
  • Must have mental ability to exercise sound judgment and effective decision-making under pressure, ability to set and demonstrate appropriate boundaries, ability to be an empathic listener, flexibility, willingness, and adaptability to working with diverse populations.
  • Must also have the ability to communicate effectively and possess good time management, supervisory and organizational skills.
  • Appropriate qualifications (F endorsement) required and is an essential part of the position.
  • Hearing of normal and soft tones.
  • Close eye work.
  • Valid driver's license; must be able to transport clients.
  • Lifting up to 50lbs.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.
